I went ahead and got a Dorper ram a couple of years ago because #1: being an African breed they are well suited to hot areas (like where we are) and #2: it's a hair breed, meaning you don't have to shear them. Of course #2 would be no good if you want to try spinning the wool.

I was going to get rid of all my sheep but just couldn't because the little lambs are so fun to watch!

As far as the Dexters go I am really happy with mine. They are very gentle and easy to handle, especially if you get one from a breeder who took a little time with them from the beginning.

We try not to use pesticides in our garden unless we suddenly start having a bad problem, so I can't say ours is organic. You are brave to try and do it totally organic. Good luck with your garden!tina f.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10813986790663678450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7692230972406245888.post-12601072514962833942008-05-23T05:56:00.000-05:002008-05-23T05:56:00.000-05:00Welcome to the blogging world, I will be sure to c...Welcome to the blogging world, I will be sure to call back and see how you progress:)
Check out the links on my site if you need advice, there are some very experienced gardeners in there.

Blessings:)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
